Making sarees, and still making them
Sai Sarees was founded in 1972 by Sri Boddu Subba Raidu, and we have made sarees ever since. We have supplied leading retail houses across Andhra Pradesh, and we still do.
aartisanz is a new home for GI-tagged Indian handloom and craft. We are starting with what we know best: our in-house collection of Kalamkari and handloom sarees, made by Sai Sarees. As we grow, we will bring more GI-tagged crafts and their makers to one place.
Registered GI Kalamkari
We manufacture and sell Machilipatnam Kalamkari and Sri Kalahasthi Kalamkari, both registered Geographical Indications of India.
Registered with the Geographical Indications Registry, Government of India, on 16 April 2007. The registered name is Machilipatnam, and the craft is printed in Pedana, Krishna District, where generations of families have made it.

Aartisanz was born from a deep love for the centuries-old Kalamkari tradition of Pedana, a small town in Andhra Pradesh that has been home to master weavers and painters for generations.
We work directly with artisan families to bring you authentic, hand-painted and hand-woven sarees using natural vegetable dyes — the same techniques passed down through generations.
Every saree tells a story of skilled hands, natural colours, and timeless tradition.
